Casamigos Añejo pours a deep amber-golden color, the result of 14 months of aging in American oak barrels, well beyond the minimum for añejo, allowing deep integration of flavor and mellowing of agave spice. On the nose, it opens with warm vanilla, roasted agave, and caramel, layered with notes of cocoa, toasted oak, and dried fig. Subtle hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and sweet tobacco round out its aromatic richness. The palate is silky, full-bodied, and slightly sweet, with elegant flavors of buttery toffee, dark chocolate, and spiced maple, balanced by earthy agave and mellow oak spice. The oak aging adds just a touch of tannin, giving structure without overshadowing the sweetness. The finish is long, warm, and smooth, with lasting impressions of vanilla bean, spiced caramel, and a soft peppery cocoa note, making it ideal for slow sipping.
