Sweetness from PX sherry integrates beautifully with iodine, wet wood, roasted coffee, and hints of spiced figs. On the palate is silky and round. Rich layers of peat, dark chocolate, dates, dried berries, and burnt sugar coat the tongue. The PX cask imparts elegant sweetness and plum-like depth without overwhelming the Lagavulin character. Balanced with salted caramel, espresso, and smoky oak. The finish is long, luxurious, and complex. Echoes of sweet smoke, sherry richness, and dry charred wood linger on the palate, with a whisper of baking spice and briny sea air.
