On the appearance, displays pale straw gold, with brilliant clarity. On the nose, it is punchy, youthful peat smoke at first, backed by lemon zest, smoked barley, green apple, vanilla pods, and a slight herbal note. There’s a creamy oak sweetness under the powerful peat. Explosive on the palate with sweet vanilla cream, smoked malt, black pepper, salted caramel, and hints of citrus oil. The mouthfeel is oily, intense, and hot with clean Islay character.
