On the nose, it’s fresh, bold, and spirited—brimming with green orchard fruits like crunchy apple and underripe pear, mingled with lemon peel, barley husk, and a touch of raw vanilla pod. There’s a waxy brightness and an undercurrent of youthful cereal grain. Light hints of white pepper and citrus blossoms add aromatic lift. The palate is zesty and full of energy, showing the malt spirit’s natural sweetness and texture. Flavours of pear drops, malt biscuits, and sweet lemon curd lead the way, followed by a flash of peppery spice and ginger. There’s a clean, grassy note—almost reminiscent of young white wine or unripe melon—paired with hints of oak spice that suggest the whisky is just beginning to develop depth. The finish is short to medium, crisp and tingling, with lingering notes of apple skin, honeycomb, and a gentle nip of clove.
