The nose is soft and elegant, opening with notes of honeyed stone fruits, beeswax, and dried apricot, followed by subtler layers of antique oak, old leather, and polished brass. There’s an aromatic lift of orange blossom, chamomile tea, and faint incense, hinting at both Speyside and Highland heritage. On the palate, it’s rich yet composed. Flavours of golden sultanas, spiced apple cake, and toasted almond are interwoven with vanilla pod, sandalwood, and a light herbal bitterness. The oak influence is assertive but beautifully integrated—adding structure, spice (clove, allspice), and warmth without overwhelming the fruit. A touch of waxiness and citrus peel adds texture and complexity. The finish is long, layered, and gently drying—with lingering notes of dried orange zest, hazelnut, baking spice, and soft oak tannin.
