The nose is fresh, vibrant, and slightly playful. Upfront notes of green apple, lemon sherbet, and barley sugar jump out, followed by hints of vanilla fudge, ginger snaps, and floral honey. A light dusting of white pepper and oat biscuit adds structure and youth-driven clarity. On the palate, it’s lively and textural. Flavours of pear drops, citrus zest, and shortbread dominate the initial sip, backed by flashes of malted grain, almond paste, and mild spice. A touch of clove and sweet oak hints at active cask influence, while the youthful distillate retains a creamy, cereal-driven core. The mouthfeel is light to medium-bodied, with just enough grip to make it interesting. The finish is clean, medium-length, and gently drying—leaving behind notes of baking spice, soft malt, and lemon peel, with a faint echo of grassy freshness.
