Known for its rich, sulphur-friendly spirit and sherry cask compatibility, this young release captures the raw muscle and malty charm of Dailuaine in its formative years. On the nose, expect aromas of roasted barley, caramelised apple, and baking spice, underpinned by notes of dried figs, toasted nuts, and a faint touch of smoky char. There's an earthy maltiness that feels warm and grounded — almost umami-like, in typical Dailuaine fashion. The palate is thick and bold for its age, with flavours of dark honey, toffee pudding, and oily cereal grain, accented by hints of black pepper, baking cocoa, and clove. Some batches may show sherry or wine cask influence, lending touches of dried fruit, treacle, or leather. The finish is medium to long, tapering with malt loaf, spiced oak, and a trace of meaty smoke or savoury herbal bitterness — giving it a mature edge beyond its six years.
