Fresh, vibrant, and impressively polished for its age, the Dalmunach 7 Year Old from That Boutique-y Whisky Company offers a rare look at one of Speyside’s youngest modern distilleries. Built in 2014, Dalmunach produces a fruity, clean spirit — and even at just 7 years, this release shows poise and promise. The nose is bright and fragrant, with notes of green apple, pear drops, and vanilla cream, followed by hints of honeyed malt, lemon sherbet, and a touch of floral barley. There's a light, orchard-fresh quality that speaks to a clean fermentation and precise distillation. On the palate, it’s lively yet rounded — flavours of baked apple tart, barley sugar, and shortbread shine through, with gentle accents of white pepper, toffee, and citrus zest. Despite its youth, the oak integration is well-managed, adding structure without dominating. The finish is clean and medium in length, leaving traces of vanilla pod, apple skin, and soft spice. It's refreshing and satisfying, with a gentle warmth that invites another sip.
