The nose is vibrant and spicy, leading with classic rye aromas of cracked black pepper, fresh dill, and eucalyptus. Underneath, there's toffee sweetness, orange peel, and rye bread crust, accented by hints of tobacco leaf and cinnamon bark. On the palate, it's bold, chewy, and flavour-packed. Waves of molasses, mint, clove, and sour cherry hit first, followed by bursts of ginger root, burnt sugar, and toasted oak. The mouthfeel is oily and dense, with a good balance of herbal bitterness and rich sweetness. There's also a faint note of leather and dark chocolate, giving depth and structure. The finish is long and warming, tapering with notes of rye spice, anise, and a lingering oaky dryness.
