There’s a distinct influence of red fruit compote, raisin, and toasted hazelnuts, suggesting wine or sherry cask involvement. A hint of vanilla cream, nutmeg, and orange oil rounds out the aroma. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and layered. Flavours of fig jam, milk chocolate, and clove-studded spice cake unfold with a velvety mouthfeel. Mid-palate brings notes of roasted almond, oak char, and date syrup, with just a touch of warming peppery spice to provide lift. There’s a balance between sweetness and structure that shows the cask work is carefully calibrated.
