Layers of baked apple, cinnamon, and marzipan follow, along with subtle touches of red grape must, nutmeg, and polished oak. A faint vinous quality hints at sherry or wine cask influence. On the palate, it’s viscous and warming, with a full-bodied texture. Flavours of fruit compote, brown sugar, and orange marmalade lead the charge, followed by spice cabinet warmth—clove, cardamom, and gingerbread. Mid-palate reveals hazelnut, toasted wood, and dried apricots, with a velvety oak structure underpinning the sweetness. The finish is long and warming, tapering with lingering notes of cocoa powder, baked plum, oak spice, and a hint of grape skin tannin.
