Bright, nutty, and lightly coastal, the Macduff 10 Year Old – Batch 8 from That Boutique-y Whisky Company delivers a clean and slightly quirky Highland profile. Often bottled under the Glen Deveron label in official releases, Macduff’s spirit is known for its cereal-forward character, subtle fruitiness, and a touch of briny freshness — all of which are showcased in this independent bottling. On the nose, you’ll find notes of crushed almonds, lemon zest, and barley sugar, followed by hints of pear skin, fresh-cut hay, and a wisp of sea breeze. Subtle undertones of butter toffee, green tea, and light oak spice add complexity. The palate is crisp and malty, offering flavours of biscuit dough, granny smith apples, and honeycomb, layered with vanilla oak, ginger, and a soft nuttiness reminiscent of hazelnut praline. There's a touch of minerality and dryness that gives it structure. The finish is moderately long and refreshing, with lingering notes of light citrus peel, malt husk, and a gentle salted almond edge.
