The nose is rich, sweet, and assertive—bursting with notes of dark treacle, raisins, and toasted vanilla, followed by hazelnut brittle, marzipan, and warm oak spice. There’s a touch of molasses, ripe fig, and clove, evoking sherry-cask influence or deeply charred oak. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, chewy, and luxuriously spiced. Expect a wave of toffee, dark chocolate, and spiced plum jam, balanced by black pepper, cinnamon stick, and gingerbread. The youthful energy of the spirit remains intact, but it's well-wrapped in bold oak influence and sweet, sticky depth. A faint note of espresso, pipe tobacco, and liquorice root appears mid-palate. The finish is long and warming, with lingering flavours of oak resin, nutmeg, roasted nuts, and fruitcake, tapering into a dry, spicy edge with a hint of burnt orange peel.
