Delicate yet confident, the Miltonduff 10 Year Old Batch 7 from That Boutique-y Whisky Company is a charming Speysider that highlights the distillery’s signature profile of malt-forward fruitiness, soft vanilla tones, and floral elegance. Aged for a decade, it strikes a fine balance between distillate clarity and cask development. The nose opens with soft notes of pear drops, green apple, and freshly baked sponge cake, followed by gentle waves of vanilla bean, honeyed barley, and a touch of wildflowers. Hints of almond nougat, lemon peel, and light oak add complexity without heaviness. On the palate, it’s smooth and lightly creamy, offering flavours of orchard fruits, white chocolate, and biscuit malt, alongside subtle undertones of cereal, gingerbread, and cinnamon sugar. The mouthfeel is rounded and easygoing, yet bright and lively from start to finish. The finish is soft, clean, and medium in length, leaving behind notes of vanilla shortbread, grape skin, and a whisper of herbal oak.
