Bright, fruit-forward, and full of youthful charm, the Speyside #3 – 8 Year Old from That Boutique-y Whisky Company is a lively single malt that showcases Speyside’s signature elegance with vibrant energy. Though young, this whisky punches above its age with clarity, balance, and fresh distillate character. On the nose, it opens with classic Speyside aromas of green apple, pear drop sweets, and vanilla sugar, followed by hints of honeyed cereal, lemon zest, and a faint floral note — like meadow flowers and chamomile. The palate is crisp and light-to-medium bodied, bringing flavours of apple pie, white peach, and malted biscuit, with touches of ginger snap, oak spice, and a dash of citrus oil. There’s a youthful vibrancy, but also a nice roundness from careful cask maturation. The finish is clean and medium in length, leaving behind notes of vanilla cream, barley sugar, and a soft touch of peppery oak.
