Layers of caramelised banana, clove, and heather honey emerge, along with a gentle waft of campfire smoke and damp forest floor, adding rustic depth. On the palate, it’s rich, oily, and textural. Initial flavours of dark rye spice, licorice root, and gingerbread lead into secondary waves of apple compote, smoked malt, and herbaceous bitters. The malted barley gives a soft roundness, while the rye brings structure and spice. Hints of charred oak and fennel seed linger throughout. The finish is long for its age—warm, earthy, and subtly smoky—with lasting notes of anise, cracked black pepper, and oak-roasted grain.
