The nose is delicate and graceful, beginning with aromas of steamed pear, vanilla custard, and chamomile tea. There are layers of light honey, hay, and white peach, underpinned by gentle oak tones and a faint herbal lift—lemon balm, clover, and dry grass. A hint of shortbread biscuit and soft malt provides a creamy, comforting warmth. On the palate, it’s smooth, mellow, and subtly complex. Flavours of apricot jam, golden barley, and almond cream unfold slowly, supported by vanilla pod, cereal grain, and a touch of ginger spice. The oak is soft and well-integrated, adding structure without dominating. Mid-palate brings gentle floral notes, citrus zest, and a waxy texture that speaks to its maturity. The finish is medium to long, elegant and clean—lingering with impressions of light toffee, malted biscuit, dried apple, and polished oak, with just a trace of spice and herbal bittersweetness.
